Project Lead with 3 mayor tasks: understanding the emotional needs of dockworkers, creating an effective analysis methodology to conduct during a pandemic and clear/ effective communication with dockworkers
Impact of the project
Creating a synthesis of dockworkers behavioral patterns that were not ready known by the client.
Achieving respect and understanding from dockworkers to participate in the project.
An effective method to collect qualitative data during a pandemic.
While the lockdown in 2020 forced civilians to stay at home, the project involving dockworker in the port of Antwerp couldn’t be put on hold. In order to build meaningful and effective injury preventive solutions from sufficient data, the project needed to focus on psychosocial triggers parallel with the ergonomic origin of the preceived injuries. To do so diaries were build and send to dockworkers. Afterwards online follow-up workshops were held on MIRO.
