Project Lead with 3 mayor tasks: setting up cocreation sessions with white collar and blue collar employees in the port of Antwerp, creating a save environment where dockworkers and managers would listen to each other and communication with harbor personnel (dockworkers and managers)
Impact of the project
Achieving a better understanding towards each others needs between the administrative employees and the dockworkers. Which instantly led to small but powerful changes to the organisation to benefit dockworkers.
I got the opportunity to work as a Product Development researcher at the department of Product Development at the University of Antwerp. I worked on projects concerning Design For Healthcare. In particular on a project concerned the implementation of an injury preventive Product-Service-System solution for dockworkers in the port of Antwerp. Working in a multi-disciplinary team, we conducted research using motion capturing suits to build a 3D representation of the dockworkers. My task consisted of managing the project and being the bridge between the harbor environment and design community. Is was paramount to organise co-creation sessions in order to fully understand the dockworkers needs and letting the dockworkers know the complexity of the project.
