Impact of the project
Using service design tools as Chairman made it possible for others to find structure in the complex problems the organization faced during the pandemic and afterwards.
As chairman of non-profit organisation KSA Antwerpen-Brabant, I organize and supervise, on voluntary basis, the pedagogical policy build for all youth movements in provences Antwerpen and Vlaams-Brabant. Together with the vice-chairwoman, an improved volunteer policy was introduced. More structured pedagogical boards meetings were organized, leading to effective solutions build solely by volunteers for volunteers. I was actively involved in the annual animator courses for beginning KSA monitors/ animators and biennial hiking event where KSA’s from all over Flanders, Belgium participate to walk 100 km in four day hiking trip.
In order to mobilise, motivate and engage volunteers from all over Antwerpen and Vlaams-Brabant, a basic level of service design was implemented. Especially at a strategic level, I used service design techniques to deconstruct and analyse parts of the volunteers organisation and volunteers policy. This all while maintaining a high level of participation from every volunteer.
